For my first assignment in my Media Design class, I was asked to choose 5 images or photographs that I like/find interesting and 5 images or photographs that I do not like. This was a tricky assignment for me personally because there is so much content out there to choose from and narrowing it down to 10 images was a challenge. I tried to add some variety with the images, not all of them being professionally taken or posed. You can view the images by scrolling down or by clicking through the image gallery above. Enjoy!
Images I Like/Find To be Interesting

To explain, I chose these certain 5 images based on many different factors: historical context and meaning, passion and compassion, and visual aesthetics. I find these 5 images to be powerful photographs that I can look at and almost empathize with the characters in each image. Although the images of Jackie Kennedy and the cat swimming away from the storm don’t appear to be the happiest of times, I believe these images both capture the moment in time so well. The power and meaning behind each of these photographs makes them worth sharing.
Images I Do Not Like

I chose these five images in my dislike category, not because of the quality of the image, but for the meaning behind each photograph, and often due to the ignorance of the people in the image themselves. Hopefully I will get the chance to explain why I chose each of these images to show to the class.
